We initially booked for Naini hill view but the balcony was small and not private. We paid extra and moved to Maharaja Lounge room that had an amazing lake view. (It was our choice to upgrade our room by paying additional fees). Overall, i would say the stay was amazing. It was cozy, clean and staff were extremely courteous. Evening High tea and outside deck Tea stand was very thoughtful. I highly recommend this hotel for leisure purpose. Staying in Maharaja lounge area comes with its own benefit of having many things complimentary tea along with the view. Hence i would recommend the same.

best location…. beautiful property ❤️ its 500 m walking distance from Naina lake… by car it’s 1.5 km.. the rooms are really good v had booked duplex room n it was very spacious n well maintained … u can enjoy your morning tea n evening drinks with Naina lack beautiful view.. it’s great experience.. food was good they have live music in dinning area n bone fire in the garden area at evening time… overall it was a pleasant stay @ Naini retreat ❤️

Location is amazing 🤩 The architecture of the building reminds of old English towns. The view around is superb and the visuals are stunning 👍🌼🍁🍂 Staff was helpful and cheerful 👍

The ambience, the old world charm of the hotel with modern facilities were good. Overall location, the view from hotel was breathtakingly beautiful. The staff were friendly. Food was excellent . The high tea was a treat. The hotel had quite a bit of activity in the evening to keep one occupied and entertained.

Lovely property, colonial and well furbished. Wonderful views. Great service, good food though there needs to be a serious upgrade in the Bakery department and the spa though many flights down is worth the climb up. Special bonus-entry to the charming Boat club at a nominal fee where we whiled away a day with some sailing with boatman, Deepak, thrown in. We nearly toppled the boat with our laughter when a lady in a paddleboat came near us and asked Deepak, “Bhaiya aapka boat mein do Jhanda kyo laga rakhe hain ! No photo could capture Deepak’s facial expressions! A very comfortable and pleasant stay.

The staff is excellent. Very courteous, efficient and went out of way to make stay memorable. The deck area is having wonderful view of Nainital. Enjoyed chilled beer very leisurely. Plantation is mind boggling.

The staff completely pampers you with their warmth and service. the Property is very well maintained and has a british old time charm. The added on ambience of the Bar and the guitarist are excellent along with an outdoor seating restaurant that over looks the lake.
